Samsung Integrates Nigerian Languages into Devices to Enhance User Experience

Samsung Electronics has introduced a groundbreaking feature, incorporating Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba as official language options on selected Samsung Galaxy devices. The update, which is now available on the Galaxy S25, A56, A36, and A26 models, aims to offer a more personalized and accessible user experience for Samsung customers in Nigeria.

This move highlights Samsung’s ongoing commitment to embracing diversity and making technology more inclusive. By offering local language support, the tech giant is providing millions of Nigerians the ability to navigate their devices in languages they know best, creating a more relatable digital environment.

To celebrate the launch, Samsung hosted a culture-themed press event featuring Nigerian traditional music, local cuisine, and a showcase of the new language feature. Attendees donned attire representing the country’s diverse cultures (Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa), further emphasizing the importance of cultural inclusivity.

Oge Maduagwu, Head of Marketing at Samsung Electronics West Africa, shared at the press event, “We believe that technology should be accessible to all. By integrating local languages, we are enhancing the user experience and fostering deeper connections with our Nigerian customers, making it easier for them to interact with our devices.”

Looking ahead, Samsung plans to expand local language options to additional devices, reinforcing its dedication to bridging the digital divide and ensuring its products remain intuitive and user-friendly for African users.
